Brittany Maynard update…a roller coaster of emotions. Is saying that Mrs. Maynard is courageous saying those folks that didn’t take their life aren’t?
Brittany Maynard takes her life: One of the weekend’s saddest events was the self-inflicted death of Brittany Maynard, a 29-year old woman who decided that she would end her battle with terminal cancer via doctor-assisted suicide.
Maynard originally told PEOPLE she’d chosen Nov. 1 to end her life, but on Thursday she released a new video saying she might not do it that day.
“I still smile and laugh with my family and friends enough that it doesn’t seem like the right time now,” she said in the video recorded Oct. 13 and 14, “but it will come because I feel myself getting sicker; it’s happening each week.”
Apparently, she changed her mind again. Here are her last words before she took her own life:
